Yesterday I setup a hummingbird feeder on my deck rail, and pointed a solar powered Eufy security camera at it, and today got my first visitor. These little marvels are all over around here.
I’m quite pleased with the video and functionality. So many hummingbird camera feeders are dumb and require a subscription. Eff that.
One of the YouTube people I like is a Canadian fellow who does all manner of restorations on old knackered tools. His deal is called Hand Tool Rescue. He sells a few things too- like reproductions of old style adjustable wrenches and so on. They’re not exactly cheap, but I bought one and absolutely love it.
Today, I’m an effort to protect it from rust from my sweaty mitts, I applied some fine bluing paste. Before/after images:
The strange state of candy bars has news. The UK will be getting the “Marathon” bar back. For them, that was a Snickers before they called it Snickers. In the US, we had a Marathon bar too, but that was more like a Curly Wurly (which we don’t get).
