I tweeted that it was pretty shitty of members of the LGB Alliance to basically say trans people don’t exist. Sure enough the twitterverse came out to tell me what a terrible person I am for… reasons…

@MookyTroubadour eh, maybe maybe not. It’s one person and they seem intent on defending the people. I’m completely in agreement that we need people to fight for LGB issues and acceptance.
But I also think denying trans people exist is shitty and you’re not going to convince me otherwise.

@MookyTroubadour it comes down to a common problem of deification I think. Just because someone has done great things in one area doesn’t mean they can’t be shitty elsewhere. That’s a hard pill to swallow for some people.
We are complex beings with some good and some bad. When you have a platform and you do bad, it’s okay to call it out.
