Why would you go to all the effort to run for political office, be lucky enough to win, and then spend all your time making life miserable for as many people as you possibly can?

@carmen Really! I imagine an internal monologue along these lines: let’s prevent gun safety laws so more children get mowed down in school! Let’s incarcerate desperate women who terminate their pregnancy! Let’s make trans kids so depressed they off themselves.
This is a Christian nation, dammit!
