Tens of billion of dollars in extra corporate welfare that the Pentagon didn’t even ask for is just given to the military industrial complex. Meanwhile, at the same time the American people are told that we cannot “afford” Medicare dental/vision/hearing, to close the Medicaid coverage gap, child care, universal pre-K, or high speed rail.

I supported Elizabeth Warren for Pres so you know what my policy priorities are and . . . my close family has worked for the US military. The "secret" of the Pentagon budget is that it includes money for stuff that couldn't get passed through Congress, like foreign aid, help for refugees, education, etc. The folks who want good things don't talk about it b/c then the good stuff would be stripped. But military $ isn't all bombs & bullets
