I can only assume the NYT oped board either thinks that this is hilarious as unintentional self-parody OR is publishing it as yet another example of how far Republicans have fallen.
Maybe both?
Knowing that the author is Rich Lowry of NatRev makes it, yes, risible and pathetic.
“Trump” and “character” is like “fresh frozen” and “jumbo shrimp.” We have multitudinous examples to support what should be obvious to anyone with a functioning brain.
Sigh.
Garbage in, garbage out.

@QueenOfEverything #IRS, #DoJ, and the #FBI don't have the balls.
@MikeBarbre

As an American taxpayer, I think we should ALL refresh ourselves regarding the IRS Tip Line:
"An award worth between 15 and 30 percent of the total proceeds that IRS collects could be paid, if the IRS moves ahead based on the information provided. Under the law, these awards will be paid when the amount identified by the whistleblower (including taxes, penalties and interest) is more than $2 million."
