Damn gas tax in PA is going up again Jan1. Gas tax goes to .61 and diesel to .78
The damn GOP had controlled PA congress and have done nothing to fix the taxing in PA- they don’t know how to manage a budget

To be fair, if the cost of maintaining roads must be paid by gas taxes, and more and more people are consuming less gas, there isn’t much way around having each gallon of fuel pay its fair share.

I didn’t know about those. I know it can’t be used for state public transit, even though everyone on a bus takes a car off the road so there’s less need to widen them
@MerionFriends we have the highest gas/ diesel tax in the US.
@MerionFriends the bigger issue is that the gas tax money isn’t used for just repairing road stuff/ it subsidizes Amtrak and also helps fund the State police . There are other ways to fund them. I’d rather the sales tax go up some
