I brought my 2011 Lexus hybrid in bc the nav screen went black. Turns out there’s water damage throughout the car (probably from hurricanes). Ins co said it’s a complete loss. Feeling sad. I’ll prob head over to Toyota and get a Corolla hybrid this weekend. Sigh
@rpardee yeah. When they tried to find out why, they found water inside the car. 3 different points of entry for water to get in.
@Meri Dang. You'd think they could replace the electronics, if the basic engine/transmission stuff was working. (I know *nothing* about cars--that's just uninformed intuition)
@Meri FWIW, Toyota has been funding the sedition caucus. I've loved their cars, but am resolved not to patronize them anymore.
@rpardee they said the price to repair the car has exceeded $10k, so it’s a total loss
@Meri mother scratcher!
@Meri I picked up a used Chevy Volt plugin hybrid. Awesome car so far!
@Meri oh no! So it was running but no nav screen?
