I just learned something new. Memorial Day is the federal holiday for mourning the U.S. military personnel who have died while serving in the United States armed forces. It also includes Confederate soldiers in that honor. Did you know this?

@Meri well I’m usually agreeable and not one to argue if it doesn’t matter. But when we look at where we are today, there is a thread that goes back to placating the South, whether it be confederate statues or flags or Jim Crow, and now even gun rights and other states rights. So, not a big deal. It’s just one more thing. I’ll bet in 50 years, January 6 will be no big deal. We might even honor them, depending on who is in charge.
