The rifle rack was full? No problem! These soldiers decided a window would do -- maybe Santa would see them first. Not sure if the one soldier needed to do laundry or decided his helmet might hold more goodies ...

Good Friday morning! Last day of work this year, which is how it goes as a lone arranger - can't close the library and archives when folks need it. End of digression.
It's cold; 19F but warming to low 50s. Going to be nice tomorrow, too.
But Sunday! Rain (2 to 3")! Wind! Nice day to leave the blowups down and enjoy a fire in the woodstove.
So happy to welcome the rain.
That's your weather report from the Blue Ridge, oldest mountains in the U.S.
Let's make it a great day!
So last night Lucy Lou the Lab grabbed my tennis shoe out of my closet and ran out the door, into the night and up the mountain. Bye-bye shoe.
Dad was angry with her and even called her Lucille Louise. After school today he told her today no rides in the truck since she took my shoe (she knows better). Lucy runs off into the woods. AND BRINGS BACK MY SHOE FROM SOMEWHERE UP THE MOUNTAIN.
Maybe she does have a brain.
