You'd think rewriting something would be easy, but it's hard. All I can think when redoing a scene is 'I had this all worked out, the original was so much better. What even is this mess??'

@JamiFairleigh I just wanted to let you know I bought Oil and Dust and am a little ways into it. It's slow going (not because of the story, but because of free time) but I am very much enjoying it so far!

I did it! I have finished the first draft of my novel Reboot, as well as the cover. About 136,000 words, I wrote the first chapter five years ago to the day, and the rest since about April I believe. I do my own artwork for covers as well, and finished that too. Anyone wants to check out my work, its at www.Melaradark.com. Much excite!

For all you traditionally published authors, do they really pigeonhole you into a genre? I write horror, fantasy, soft sci-fi, magical realism, and goofy fairy tales. I use a pseudonym, and I don't really want to use a different one for each genre.

Had a dream last night where there was a woman who could only talk in dog breed references. Like, she had to have one a sentence.

Stuff like 'oh, it's so labradorable!' and my favorite, while gesturing at herself, 'Malin-mois?'
