@Mauve_matelot remove gerrymandering, balancing state and then federal representation at the House and Congressional level, remove dark money and PACs….create term limits at each level…eliminate the Electoral College, esp if allowing the Senate representation numbers (2 per state), give state good to DC, PR and other ‘territories’…I would also like only 6-8 weeks of campaigning. Hold liars accountable.
That’s the start.
@Thumprhare is that possible in 1 election cycle?
@Mauve_matelot no, not with the way they are currently stalling and taking advantage of the judicial branch and stalling. My state has had election districts redrawn multiple times and is getting thrown out by the state Supreme Court.
In one election, in this election there has to be an out pouring of voters so large and wide that it can’t be contested (and it probably will be any way). Getting rid of the EC would take a Constitutional Amendment, req’ if a 2/3 vote.
@MeidasTouch Sometimes the NYT can do such exemplary work. And then we get to their political coverage...
@MeidasTouch I know as a British Cosonaut I have no way of changing the conduct of America and its political paths, can you explain the possible paths for Federal reforms?
