Getting tired of the implication that my feelings are a result of me not trying hard enough

Getting tired of media pundits talking about McCarthy in relation to the holdouts as if he’s some sort of moderate. It’s worth remembering McCarthy is truly awful—he’s just not awful ENOUGH for the caucus of insurrectionists.

This whole thing with the Speaker of the House vote reminds me of a joke my wife likes: A man is walking down the street and notices a crowd around a hole in a fence. They're looking at the hole and shouting, "Four! Four! Four!" Curious, the man looks into the hole and is immediately poked in the eye. "Five! Five! Five!"

So this is what I was talking about when I said things seemed slow. Thanks for the helpful comments about timelines, the holidays, and how many people I follow, though 🤷🏽‍♂️

While I’m ranting, m also annoyed by people complaining Mastodon is “too confusing.” Pick the mastodon.social server. You can change it later. Everything else works just the same. Use something other than the official Mastodon app. There.

Annoyed by people saying, “How do you answer for silencing journalists on your bird site, E?” As if they’ll do anything like, I dunno, leaving the site. Supporting anti-semitism, racism, etc wasn’t enough, why would this be?

Not necessarily shade at Hive, by the way. I actually like it quite a bit. But it’s run by just two dudes, has massive security flaws, and other issues that make the framework creaky.

Geez, where are my comics folks at? It's like everyone ran to Hive until it collapsed on itself (no surprise) and now are what ... quietly pretending they're not on Twitter?
