Oh damn! My latest film, SIX DAYS TO DIE, just won “Best Western Feature Film” at the Western Canadian International Film Festival!

Next stop: The Wild Bunch Film Festival in Tucson Arizona — if you’re in town October 29, we’re the closing night film!

The gorgeously painted poster for SIX DAYS TO DIE is upon us! Enjoy the widescreen version, featuring The Man in Black (Colm Feore), The Gambler (Darryl Hinds), The Woman in Red (Carly Jay), The Farmer (Kyra Harper), The Purveyor (Ari Millen), The Boy (Ellery Miki-Petit), and The Marshal (Melissa D’Agostino)-- painted exquisitely by Chelsea Lowe.

Keep your eyes right here for details on the red carpet world premiere in Los Angeles next month!

Doing a music spotting session for with NckName means I get to watch absolute king Maurice Dean Wint embody everything ultracool about the western genre.

Excited to have @highballtv’s 2023 slate officially announced — we’re investing over $20-Million CAD into debut & sophomore feature films and 80% of the filmmakers are from equity-seeking groups. Looking forward to pushing those stats even higher in 2024!

Paramount made a truly incredible film about fighter pilots last year. Spoiler alert: it ain’t the one called Top Gun Maverick; it’s called Devotion. Don’t sleep on this one. If you haven’t seen it yet, do yourself a favour and fix that, it just came out on VOD a few days ago. The action, the performances, the chemistry, the direction, the cinematography — it all tops Top Gun, and it’s not even close.

New Year, New Movie, New Poster! As promised, I’m delighted to unveil the comic book inspired poster for my newest film coming out in 2023: SIX DAYS TO DIE. With a cast that absolutely slaps and post-apocalyptic western visuals that will sweep you off your feet, this movie is my proudest achievement as a filmmaker, and I can hardly wait to share the film festival screening dates and release details with you!

The hero of SIX DAYS TO DIE, The Gambler himself, is the final peek at our new poster — tragic open-heartedness is both his strength and his downfall, and Darryl Hinds plays it all expertly beneath the gruff exterior of a classical western white hat. As men with no name go, he’s my absolute favourite.

Second-to-last peek at our new comicbook poster features the indomitable Kyra Harper as “The Farmer”, a character that enjoys good hooch, a good pooch, and taking no shit from nobody. She’s gonna knock your socks off!

Today’s poster sneak peek is the big bad in SIX DAYS TO DIE, “The Marshal”, a bloodthirsty lawman on a holy mission, played to perfection by Melissa D’Agostino — two more peeks and the poster is fully revealed!

A new SIX DAYS TO DIE movie poster sneak peek, this time featuring the mercurial Ari Millen as “The Purveyor”, an enigmatic character without any moral compass; he’d sell you to the devil for the change in your pocket.

Here's a little taste of the brand new teaser poster for my new SciFi western film, “Six Days to Die”. Colm Feore's character really pops in the retro graphic novel style of artist Wayne Barnes. Keep your eyes peeled for a few more sneak peeks ahead of the full poster reveal next week!

This character from SIX DAYS TO DIE is “The Gambler”, a gunslinger, a fugitive, and a hero, and this is one of my all-time favourite shots of him. This high contrast and colour in a western is what gets me going, and our star, Darryl Hinds, makes The Gambler into a character that I’ll be writing movies about for a long time to come!

I’m truly delighted with this “first look” image from “Six Days to Die” that ran as my first-ever exclusive in Deadline Hollywood, thanks to our amazing publicist! And thanks to Colm Feore looking like such a bad mofo. Looking forward to releasing this one in 2023!

I love this behind-the-scenes snap from SIX DAYS TO DIE of Carly Jay rocking a purple/gold sequin dress. The way the pop of greenscreen contrasts with the blue key light of the “moon” & the red kick light makes for an RGB experience of extreme 1960’s TV primaries. In the final shot, 7 other actors join her in the frame, but she was the only one actually standing on our physical saloon facade on the day.

Producing an ADR session (automated dialog replacement) with my favourite sound designer on the board, NckName; in the booth it’s the immensity talented director/star of , Melissa D’Agostino.

ADR is a final touch on a film that polishes up the sound; it’s handy for eliminating moments of microphone rustle and static or unwanted background noise, and it’s an opportunity to tweak or even add new vocal performances.

The moment I framed it up, I fell in love with this shot from the third film in the trilogy, : Star Trek’s Patrick Kwok-Choon plays “The Deputy”, a character that inhabits the sweetspot somewhere between a cowboy and a samurai. I’m not sure who would want to sue me faster, Sergio or Akira .
