I have not been to a concert in years.
But when seeing a photo of one where many are holding up their phones, I think I would not want to attend one because all those nearby devices would distract me from the performance.
Like yelling "SQUIRREL" at a dog
@Mathias I don’t know about the photo you saw, but a lot of times people hold up phones as a request for encores like we used to do with lighters back in the day. I was even at an arena show where they turned down the lights and the band asked everyone to hold up their phones — it was unexpectedly beautiful.
Which of course is not to say some chucklehead might not behave distractingly with their phone during the music 🤷🏻♀️
