Just got deadnamed at the doctors in front a jam packed waiting room. Said my deadname followed by Madison. Sounds like she tried to catch herself as she was saying my deadname, but the damage was already done. She was super nice in the waiting room as she was taking my blood.
My gut instinct is that she genuinally made a mistake & didn't do it on purpose, but now a days who knows. It doesn't take much to look at the preferred name section before you actually call a name out.

@MarvelousMadi13 I agree. Though if the other name is still your legal name, it may be what shows first. That happened to me early on.

@MarvelousMadi13 Yeah... I got that a lot before my legal name change. I'd even get it in phone calls from my doctor's office.
Generally they're lovely people, but the office staff is a bit inept.
