Israeli military says it has re-established control of communities on the Gaza periphery, however, some Palestinian gunmen remain in Israeli territory causing isolated clashes.

Israel has so far mobilized 300,000 reservists, Israeli defense force spokesman says

Very few of the second wave of attackers made it beyond the fence line. A few made it as far as Sderot and Be'eri but didn't survive contact with the IDF for very long.
Still another 165,000 to be called up.
"an open air prison"
Anybody ever heard of a prison with luxury mansions, jewelry shops stuffed with gold jewelry, well appointed beach resorts, and very expensive luxury cars?
Ever wonder why all of the Palestinian leaders are billionaires and multi-millionaires?
Khaled Mashaal, head of Hamas’s political wing is worth close to $5 billion.
Ismail Haniyeh between $10 and 40 million.
Mahmoud Abbas north of $100 million.
Speaking of ignorance...
Regurgitating rancid old Soviet propaganda about Israel isn't going to score points around here. Especially now.
All it does is show you as yet another person who doesn't really care about Palestinians (who did elect Hamas in 2006) or Jews.
Israel has democratic elections, sometimes too many of them.
Neither Palestinian state has had an election since 2006.
The person who spewed that BS hasn't said a word here over the last 72hrs about whole families of Jews being slaughtered in their homes, Holocaust survivors being kidnapped and tortured, and peace activists at a music festival being hunted down and raped to death.
But Israel answers back and all of a sudden it's "oh those poor Palestinians!"
Those poor Palestinians are cheering and handing out sweets in celebration of this latest attack on Jews.
What's the difference between the Palestinian flag & the Nazi flag? None. The Palestinians & Nazis both share the same evil ideology: the annihilation of the Jews. It's no coincidence that the Palestinians and Nazis collaborated during WW2. Hitler actually met with the grand mufti of Palestine, Amin Al-Husseini. The Palestinians elected Hamas in 2006. The Hamas charter even talks about killing Jews. Israel must prevail. Jewish lives are in great danger. Am Yisrael Chai. #istandwithisrael
If there's any #zionist accounts out there, I'd love to give them a follow. Am Yisrael Chai!🇮🇱 #istandwithisrael
Israel is under attack by the Hamas terrorist organization. I stand with Israel as they fight against this evil entity. #istandwithisrael
Great game by the Leafs. They beat the Sabres 5-2. The fans must've had a blast watching the game. Conor Timmins had quite a night for the Leafs, getting 2 goals and 2 assists. Pretty neat that the Leafs got their first preseason win in my hometown. #CoSoSports #hockey
Tonight the Leafs are playing in my hometown of St. Thomas. The game is being played at the Joe Thornton Community Centre. Unfortunately, I couldn't get tickets for the game. As a result, I'll be watching it on Sportsnet One. West Lorne won the Kraft Hockeyville contest, but their arena isn't well equipped for an NHL game. Hence the reason why the game is being played in St. Thomas. Hopefully the people who were able to get tickets will have a good time. #CoSoSports #hockey
@northernbassist Yes, that is indeed correct.
Here's an interesting fact: Donald Trump's ex-wife Marla Maples is in this movie. She's actually credited as Marla Maples Trump. Also Andreas Katsulas, who played the one-armed bad guy in "The Fugitive" is in this movie. Mr. Snake Plissken himself, Kurt Russell and future Bond girl Halle Berry are in this as well. Oh, and the guy who played Luigi one time (John Leguizamo) is in it.
Overall, it's a worth a look. That is if you're willing to endure Seagal's awful early screen presence.
When it comes to Steven Seagal, less is more. In the movie, "Executive Decision," his character gets killed off within the 1st 20 minutes. That's what makes this his best movie. Here's what Roger Ebert had to say about this movie: "Any movie prepared to kill off Steven Seagal in the first 20 minutes is prepared for anything, and so I perked right up." Ebert actually gave this movie 3 stars out of 4. I'd like to think that Seagal's early demise played a factor in that rating.
To all the baseball fans out there, what are your thoughts on Apple TV+? From what I've read so far, the reaction hasn't been very positive. My impression is that it makes games very inaccessible because a lot of people don't have it & don't want to pay for a subscription. I mean, we already pay for Sportsnet, ESPN, etc. So why make people go an extra mile by making them pay for that service? Also, I've read the broadcasts aren't good either. Seems like a swing & a miss. #CoSoSports #baseball
@1000dannyboy For sure. My favourite ones are the Japanese cartoon and the dragon emails.
@JPSCHWEIZER63 I feel your pain. They did that with the Blue Jays a few times this season as well. On the bright side, at least your team's in a playoff spot. The Jays are on the outside after getting their asses kicked by the Rangers.
There's some interesting facts about this song which can be found here: https://www.songfacts.com/facts/neil-young/transformer-man
@PaganMother I actually used a picture of a microwave. Magnetron is the Dutch word for microwave. I came across that word during a trip to Holland. I thought it sounded cool, so it became my go-to whenever I decided to come up with a username.
Here's a deep dive. Back in the day, I was a frequent visitor of the Homestar Runner website. One of the things I discovered there was a web blog called, "Strong Sad's Lament."

Anyways, one of the songs I saw was called "Transformer Man" by Neil Young. It's quite an oddity because all the lyrics are sung using a vocoder. It gives the song a very robotic feel. It's unlike any song I've ever heard from him. #CoSoMusic #CanConMusic #CanCon
