Back when I used to use Twitter, I learned to stop caring about how many people followed me. I used that platform for like 5 years and I never got to 300 followers. The big problem that I had over there was the overall lack of interactions whenever I posted something. It also didn't help that I kept getting follows from all these stupid bot accounts. Anyhow, the only real action I got was when I commented on some else's posts or if I tagged somebody.
In real life, I don't care much for crowded places and noise. It just makes me uncomfortable & I just want to withdraw to some quiet place where I can be by myself & just chill. Over here I don't have to worry about crowds and noise. It's a quiet place where I have time to gather my thoughts and articulate clearly what I want to say.
I don't mind going to a fan expo, but that's mostly because I like the cosplays & merch & maybe getting an autograph. But of course I need to unwind afterwards.
Over here, I never really encountered that issue. It just seems more engaging here overall. And best of all, I've never had to deal with any stupid bot accounts. Since I've rejoined this place, I've gotten pretty good responses. I didn't even have to use any hashtags.
Of course I'll never ask anyone to follow me here. I just like to chit-chat.
I'm actually very introverted in real life, and I'm a lot more at ease with written communication than I am with verbal communication.
