I remember when smoking was common everywhere: in restaurants, hospitals, & grocery stores, on airplanes, etc.
Drunk driving was more common, too.
What changed? We decided it was not acceptable.
It didn't change overnight. The immature bitched & whined, but eventually complied. They were *shamed*, too.
Yes, there will always be assholes, but why pretend what worked before won't work this time.
Prosecute & shame entitled asses. And tax tf outta ammo.

News channels dedicating hours to shooters and their trials. I think some of this would go away if news channels stopped publishing the names of these idiots and only talked about their victims. The shooters deserve nothing for what they've done. especially not non-stop coverage of who they are and why they did it.
@Agatha It's not about ignoring the problem. It's about not giving these pieces of filth any satisfaction for what they've done. Still talk about it, but with the emphasis on the victims, not the shooter. I don't care about why they did it, I care about the people impacted

I remember very few shooter names. Columbine is the only one.
Ignoring a problem never makes it go away. Look at what the antivaxxers did. The festered in the corner and their infection grew.
But WE'LL think the problem has gone away, because we'll be ignoring it.
