We have to assume that the GOP has already pivoted to plan b: not certifying the vote in key red districts and forcing a supreme court decision. Theres no way this mega-schmuck win the election after today.

@MPCavalier

Um, it'd take ages to get to the Supreme Court, and if some district "refuses to certify" β€” something they are LEGALLY OBLIGATED TO DO, it's NOT negotiable β€” the Department of Justice will drag them into the nearest district court so fast their heads will swim, and they'll get a court order FORCING them either come up with some EVIDENCE or to do the jobs they SWORE AN OATH to do.

If this is their plan, I have to assume they're dumber than freaking CLAMS are.

These are the same people who signed fake electoral certificates knowing it was illegal. They don't care. And they've had 4 years to get their ducks in a row.

@MPCavalier

For which they've mostly been charged with felonies and are facing trials in state courts.

Correct? You forgot that part.

@MPCavalier

Just so you know, the 2000 election decision is widely viewed as a complete debacle for the court, and the consensus in the legal world β€” including the judiciary β€” is that they should have stayed out of it.

I'm deeply skeptical that they want to take another swing at THAT ball. They've got ENOUGH problems.

But feel free to let these idiots terrorize you as much as they can.
