I'm a NYC transplant (long story). Needless to say it was a long transition. But hey - we had three kids here and made it home. Thankfully - we live in a blue bubble.
@MPCavalier I went to a Yankees game at old Yankee Stadium in 2006, the last season it was open. I was wearing my Cubs jersey. Everyone was very polite, damn it.

if it had been a Red Sox jersey this would be a different conversation. The NYY fans can be brutal.
@MPCavalier I went to Shea the next year and the Mets fans were just as polite. My (now ex-)wife and I went to Chicago for a death penalty seminar I had to attend. She asked if we were going to see a ball game & I said yes. She asked who The Cubs were playing. She didn't believe I was going to the south side. I wore a shirt that insulted that team: "Cincinnati Reds/1919 World Series Champions" No one caught it.
