🎧 Rose Royce, "In Full Bloom". Rose Royce was assembled by producer Norman Whitfield, who was looking to go out on his own after years at Motown. After the band hit it big with the Car Wash soundtrack, they recorded this outstanding follow up. Free from the narratives of a film, the band stretched out, with funkier and more Studio 54 ready jams. It's an all-sorts of 70's funk, r&b, soul, and shimmery disco. Love it.
