Wanting to fill out my profile (just did a minimum when I first joined). According to User Guide, my display name is supposed to be visible above the post box. It isn't. To access my profile, I've been clicking on my display name in posts that I've written. Can I create a permanent (stand alone) profile column?

@MPCavalier @Femlovebond That's what it looks like -- but I was going by the User Guide which said that the display/profile info was supposed to be just above the post box. Anyway - 's cool now. I did FemL's g+u trick and that's easy.

If your display is not large enough, it may not be visible, as it collapses for smaller displays. Try zooming out a little (Ctrl + [scroll] or Ctrl + -). It will appear above your composer.
Alternately, just hit g + u on your keyboard (when not focused on a text input like the composer or search) to open your profile in the View column.
