🎧 The Beastie Boys, "Paul's Boutique". This was the BB album that made music snobs like myself take notice of what these guys were doing. People I greatly respected back then were talking about this album a LOT. Aside from being a control room rat's dream, this is just a damned fun listen. It also pays tribute to a shit-ton of music that came before it. God bless The Beasties. #cosomusic #MPNP

I never got the chance! Seen tons of video and those shows looked amazing.
@MPCavalier of note, it appears I'm older than dirt.
@Camerondotca
Right there with you, bud. 56.
@MPCavalier 3 years younger. Just means we know to buy better ear plugs.
@MPCavalier Also that was at the Maurice Richard arena, back when they still had shows there.. so that was cool as well.
@Camerondotca
Oh wow! I spent a lot of time in Montreal in the 80's and 90's. I used to go to Juste por Rire every year. Love that city!
@MPCavalier I used to live right beside the JPR site. My love for it is coloured by hearing drunks puke in our alley and the little JPR mascot statue laugh for 12 hours straight.
@MPCavalier I think I saw them.. mb six times. Probably the best was the 1995 show here. Bad Brains were supposed to open. They had some kind of fracas, Beastie Boys came out and said "so they can't play.. give us 20 minutes and we'll basically open for ourselves". I think they played every song they knew. By the end of the concert every surface was slick with condensation from sweating people.
