🎧 Dawes, “Misadventures of Doomscroller”. I really want to like this album just I have wanted to like every Dawes release since “We’re All Gonna Die”. I love the first two albums, but with each subsequent release since then I have moved farther away from digging this band. I am all for creative evolution. Dawes is just evolving into something that doesn’t really entertain me anymore. They’ve “Wilco’d” themselves into my personal budget bin. #cosomusic #MPNP

@MPCavalier I'm unfamiliar with this band but I know what you're talking about. If they don't evolve enough then it's rinse and repeat and they become dated. Evolve too much too fast and they become something else. Every band is pressured to become mainstream and radio friendly. Most of the music I LOVE is from the first album, and possibly the second. That's when they're fresh and hungry and at their best.

@Krysdammit Boom. I am not sure what they are shooting for here. The songs are just kind of drawn out. I think they are in their “Dead/Phish” moment and that’s usually when I ask for the check.
