This Friday I'm putting out a full call for the next TWO issues of abZurd, since we have a range of ideas already.
Generally speaking, we'll have #Ekphrasis and #Conviviality as core themes in the first (plus a crossword from @Boyceaz!) and #Limerence and #CoSoAfterDark in the second (with thanks to @AndersonArtwork, @JGSchaeffer, and @Valkyrie_D for the inspiration!).
So get your creative hats going!

The point of the Ekphrasis section is to respond to other people's work, to build a dynamic artistic practice as a community.
Ideally, depending on what we receive, we'll keep that chain of responsive art going, by choosing one of the submissions as a *future* Ekphrasis prompt - but that's all contingent on what we receive.
(And, of course, we'll be trying to keep the work aligned with the overall #Zine themes.)

We may need to have a conversation about how “after” the “dark” should be. I have works that span into full scale erotica.
Are we allowed to do Ekphrasis on our own choices of inspiration art? Or do you have a set list of works for us to consider?
