Afternoon cookies (using up the rest of the dough from Monday).
Swing by, bring a book, and let's down these suckers with tea or something stronger.

@MLClark yes!!! Please DO learn how to make fig newtons and send ‘em my way, please!! 🙏 😂 I love those things!! 💕
Those cookies look delicious, btw! 😋

My mom adores dog newtons and bought them all the time. Been decades since I had one.
The oatmeal raisins look delicious 😋

I just saw what I typed. "Fig"newtons. 😂
My mom wasn't Kristi Noem. She loved dogs, but as her babies.
@CinnamonGirlE I honestly almost peed myself laughing when I read that!! 🤣
@Valkyrie_D @MLClark
Laughter is good medicine. Glad my typos can help. 😂
@CinnamonGirlE 🤣🤣 Dog Newtons are very good at physics problems like catching a ball. Good bois! @Valkyrie_D @MLClark
@stueytheround @Valkyrie_D @MLClark
Yay! Dog newtons, love it! 😂🤣
😍 Well, it sounds like I'm in the best company! May there always be absolutely scrumptious treats in your life!
@MLClark Try them with dry cranberries, i like that better than raisins but husband likes the raisins best.
I'm not a fan of '̵r̵a̵b̵b̵i̵t̵ ̵p̵o̵o̵p̵s̵'̵ raisins in my cookies 😀 🍪
When I make chocolate chip cookies I use a bar of a dark chocolate and chop it into small pieces. I like the random shapes and sizes, and the powdery stuff that results flavors the dough too.
my 2¢
Do you add a sprinkle of sea salt on top? That's a finishing touch I do on dark chocolate chip cookies. Proper dark chocolate is hard to find in my area (Colombia exports the good stuff, and there's limited local interest in it), but I do love baking with it when I have it!
I have done a little salt. It's nice.
@MLClark
a. You're not old
b. Yes, anyway.
They look like a lot of fun!! 🤓
@MLClark I've loved them since I was a kid.
They're almost healthy* too.
*Yeah 🤣🤣🤣

(Also: I used to hate oatmeal raisin cookies, and now I... kind of prefer them to the chocolate chip variety? Is this a sign of ageing? Should I be learning how to make fig newtons? 😬)
