The air went SO still at that goal. No one even moaned loudly, the way that folks did at various slings and arrows earlier on.
It was just this sudden mass sinking feeling - all the energy and excitement suddenly lost - and a collective silence for those who stayed to see the rest of the game. Many immediately picked up, though, and headed home.
