Off to work at the mall until Colombia faces off with Argentina. Here's a little taste of the conversation happening locally: some people think that the officials are already in the pocket for Argentina, while others are filled with pride for how far has come and are widely stressing the importance of "losing with dignity" if the game doesn't work out in the team's favour.

I hope everyone has a really fun match. No ugliness! Just good clean . 😊

I'm just happy for the local vendors, to be honest. Whenever a country like Colombia has a good run in sportsball, there's a direct uptick in socioeconomic prosperity.

In the more developed world, money for these events tends to flow to corporations, but in the developing world, a team doing well also means more money for street sellers--and conversely, a team not making it means fewer chances to spread the wealth.

(πŸ˜… Always thinking like a darned humanist. Goooo game!)
