I don't want to put words in anyone's mouth, but fear for the US isn't abstract for many marginalized groups who won't only suffer after November, but who are suffering *now*. Migrant policies, trans & queer laws, rights for anyone with a uterus... all *already* attacked, with November their only chance at getting any of them back.
This is July.
And people's nerves are already beyond frayed.
Do what you must to cope. Have grace with others for what they do as well. 🫂
Studies indicate that simply living alongside people of different POVs is the best way to change hearts and minds. When we drive ourselves into info silos, we're left with abstracted, dehumanized notions of the Other, and that makes it easier to keep on hating them.
🫂 It's not always easy to exist alongside such people, but you are *doing* pluralist democracy with each other one day at a time.
Thank you for the power of your presence in community, even and especially in hard times.

It’s good practice. The pendulum must swing to extremes before it finds its center point.
