Older "gentlemen" who can't keep their hands to themselves, or their gobs clean in basic conversation in public.
I know that's none of you, and I know you don't have meetings to sort each other out, but whew. A lot of nonsense in the air today, and this meatsack was not having any of it.
Back home to finish this piece, then work on a story before my evening class. 👌🏻
@MLClark I noticed that behaviour declined between 2020 and 2022 but now it's returning to levels I remember between 2017-2019.
The number of folks telling me to smile on my catering shifts, while knowing nothing about my personal circumstances is particularly irksome.
I'm sorry you're enduring more of that nonsense again, too. 💙 May you find yourself in safer spaces as often as possible.
@Mauve_matelot @MLClark I absolutely hate that “smile!” I had an atrocious school principal who once ordered me to smile. Yeah, sure. That really made me feel chippy.

@MLClark @Mauve_matelot Luckily, I am many years retired and don’t associate with anyone who might stupidly tell me to smile.
And when I choose to smile, I’ve actually got a really good one. One time a guy in a band playing for a bunch of people in a boring meeting came up to me and told me it was my smile that kept them going. So there! 😃
But it's their 'culture'—you're supposed to act like you hate it but show you secretly like it. 😂
