@MLClark Interesting! My thought went to redbud tree (Cercis canadensis), since it puts out flowers on the big branches like that. Just looked it up and they're both in the legume family, so they might? be related somehow in their family tree (haha family tree haha).

They're definitely both in the family Fabaceae! :) So much resilience and variation from a few core morphologies around the world, no?
