I've told myself I can turn on the fridge again after the novel is out with my agent. πŸ˜… Not exactly a starving artist, but we weirdos have to live up to some expectations, right?

Not ready yet, but I'm cleaning the fridge anyway & thinking about things I'll eat again when I can store leftovers & acquire more than single portions of perishables.

And... in the process, I'm marvelling at how easy it is to take the lil' things for granted.

This has been a good year for gratitude, if nothing else.

@NiveusLepus

No, but last May I turned it off to save on the monthly electricity bill when things were rough, and also to reduce food expenses.

I don't live in a food desert so it was easy to live on nonperishables and cheap fresh eggs, fruit, and veg from the neighbourhood stores. But I know I have to get over my "fear" of turning it back on (poverty mentality kicked in bigtime last year), so I've reframed it as a good thing, a reward for when the novel is done, to trick the silly noggin. πŸ™ƒ

@MLClark Alright buddy ^_^ Just making sure you are ok. I'm always willing to help if I can.

πŸ€— Thanks for checking in. It's the mental game right now - and I know you know how strange brains can be.

Hope you're taking good care of yours today, too. πŸ’›

@MLClark I've manage to largely hide from everything today and stay quiet, which is exactly what I was hoping to do. Tomorrow I'm going to try to get back on the bounce and do my routine.

Today is the day I hide.

@MLClark You are a good and groovy soul. I am always grateful for you, and I am glad you are taking care of yourself as well.
