Woo!
Back on my old laptop. 💪
The only snails from here on out are the ones I choose to add to my daily workflow.
Like so--
1) Malaysian Fire Snail (best left in the wild; far too often pet-farmed)
2) Giant African Snail (the CHONK)
3) Orange Sulawesi Rabbit Snails (not to be mistaken for sea hares! 🌊🐰)
4) Red-Lined Bubble Snail (NOT a candy!)
1-4) All cutie patooties on one long fo-tooties.
And WAY cooler than all the "snails" I was dealing with these past two weeks. 🎉
@MLClark While I find snails fascinating, mention of giant ones always leaves me thinking of Patricia Highsmith's short story, "The Search for Blank Claveringi," which scared me as a child.
I apologize for triggering the snail trauma, but I am thrilled by the reading rec! I don't think I've read that one. Hope whatever you're reading these days is kinder to you. 💛
@MLClark Well, the initial childhood trauma wasn't enough to keep me from checking the book I found the story in out of the library several times and rereading it, so I think it's all right. 😃 Right now I'm reading an ARC of Fifty Beasts to Break Your Heart by GennaRose Nethercott. I'm only three stories into the collection and so far I've been creeped out and my heart has been made to sing, so I'm looking forward to the rest of it.
@MLClark YAY!!!!
