Happy little mountain valley thunderstorm. :)

Up on high, clouds roll over the mountains all the time, and you can feel the deep pulse of thunder in your heart when then storm is right overhead.

The phone picks up the higher-end static-hiss of tires on wet asphalt over any deeper tones, so I didn't bother trying to share the thunder booms.

But they've reverberated in rich, rumbly waves over me for the last hour.

It's no wonder our first gods were thunder gods, from Indra to Zeus to YHWH. :)

@MLClark The earliest gods I remember were gods and goddesses of the sun, moon, stones and sea. The thunder gods just had more rocking bass.

Amusingly, internet cut out from the storm pretty much as I posted this, so thanks for the catch. *Some* of our first gods were thunder gods, though there's always a neat push-pull between the chronology of god lineages *within* pantheon stories, and the chronology of deities as they emerged in written record to serve specific tribes.

In other words, the human instinct to go back and write prequels to popular tales has a helluva long tradition!
