The drunken fellow who bothered me two weeks ago ran into me when I stepped out between tasks. He apparently lives part-time here, & while he wanted to apologize he also again was not good at leaving me alone. The whole passive aggressive "¿porqué estás mala cara con la gente?" routine (Why are you so grumpy with others?) was so freaking annoying.
I feel like I am... definitely in need of a few days away from the city - little finca, all alone - but I have to finish the novel first.

😅 That's what I told him! I'm neighbourly with people who don't harass me.
Pero él es muy grosero, sÃ, es verdad.
Siempre puede "tutear" (use the "tú" form) conmigo. 💛🤗
And congrats on the journey! I love how much humility comes with learning and conversing in non-native tongues.
@MLClark Ah, gracias. And you are so right. I once learned several phrases in Hungarian when I was going to visit. My (Hungarian) host said not to bother because nobody would appreciate it. May I just say that everywhere we went, people fawned over me because I bothered! And graciously taught me more natural ways to say things.
@MLClark I'm not fluent - yet! but that is very clear to me, lol.
Usted es muy simpática 💙
