Sigh.
TFW someone whose online friendship you've enjoyed for years decides to leave the cesspool of Twitter for... Threads, Instagram, and Facebook.
Ah well.
Maybe in another watering hole, in another lifetime, we'll meet again.
In this case he's a rising star of an author, so I get why he's staying in the popular ponds - even though his work is rad AF when it comes to highlighting whole systems of complicity in worldly violence.
I'm only on Twitter because of obligatory promo work myself.
One day I too will be free... but not by going back to any of Meta's media properties.
@MLClark oh fck no, I'm totally contented with the 'starving artist retirement.' Having seen the other side, this is definitely my pace.
We're all runnin' our own races. 💜

Heck yeah. In as non-pedestal-y a way as possible, I appreciate the hell out of how you go about being human in this world.
This is incredibly validating, and on a day where I was definitely open to some. Thank you, my friend. You inspire me, too!
@MLClark I may have had a similar reaction to the same person's announcement. ðŸ˜
:( I'm sure we'll all meet again some day.
@MLClark Everything Enshittifying All At Once.
Maybe it'll make the soil of the internet fertile for newer, healthier communities to rise up!
@MLClark
Can't save 'em all (but we should try?).
