I've been following recent events amid my weekend tasks - just not commenting on them yet.
Friendly reminder that these extremely intense times live in our bodies.
Stay informed. Think big picture. Consider where best you can give aid.
But keep health and wellness in mind, too.
The rush, the anticipation, the highs and lows of every new crumb of breaking intel...
Is it leaving you a better actor, or winding you up & burning you out?
Hydrate. Hug a loved one. Touch grass.
Return renewed.
👀 Rain and a little writing?! Oh, what a perfectly self-nurturing day. 💛☔️
I would love to hear about your writing practice some other lovely moment, but without interrupting the rhythm! 🤗 For now, thank you for the kind words. I hope that both acts of #selfcare have served you wonderfully, and that the rest of the day does as well.
Happy Sunday, ML. I hope you're doing well 💞
For me, rain has always been a trigger for writing. Sometimes I work on my WIP, sometimes I write poetry, and sometimes it's journal-like writing, (which I should be blogging). But, I do my best writing in the very early morning hours, when everything feels still and peaceful.
Thanks for asking. Your writing practices always sound so disciplined. I'm very undisciplined and need to get my act together...lol.
Early morning writing is such a gift. 💛 I'm glad you give yourself that space for it - or write in the rain, when you can!
And I'm thrilled to hear that you're making time for your WIP. I hope I get to read the work someday! I find that poetry is such a lovely complement to longer projects, too: you can really fine-tune your sense of rhythm, and the sonics of language, and bring both back to the prose.
Thank *you* for sharing your practice. I'm inspired by it today. 🤗❤️

Great post, ML. My tv has been off and I peek in here about every hour or two, other than that I'm listening to the rain and doing a little writing.
I went for a walk in the rain about 9am...it was heavenly! 🌧😊
Hope you're doing well. 💞
