Day 18:
I keep trying to burn the midnight oíl, but a full night's sleep is always best - and my body isn't letting me cut corners these days!
At least getting up nice and early gives me a second chance to reclaim lost ground.
Yesterday I was FULL of doubts - kind of a super lonely week over here, which is never good for the noggin - but it happens. Now I'm waking with a clear sense of today's goals, and hopefully the energy to meet them all.
Onward to a better Thursday. 💫
Morning, CoSo.

Also, this is the longest I've ever fasted.
Last year, getting to 17 days to combat long COVID was a *feat*, but it worked! This time, I've had a year of practice with fasting, so my body knew what to expect & it took well to the fasted state.
As long as I'm hydrated, taking salt, potassium, and magnesium, I'm good. Great energy, great sleep, great focus for the work. I'll eventually have to break it (with a nutrient-rich simple soup, then probiotics), but for now all is well.

Oh, but I should note:
My body took well to the fasted state AFTER my stress levels were low enough to enter it. Kind of a vicious Catch-22: I wanted to fast for calm and energy, but I needed enough calm first to pull off the fast at all. Silly brain & body.
I also have a weird thing for watching cooking shows while fasting. The fasted body tends to hanker after real fresh foods, though, so I'm definitely thinking about tasty new recipes to try after I've responsibly refed. 👌🏻
