Whew. Well, I had a bit of a rough start to my morning, but hopefully better now.
Except for the bleak news you *knew* I had to report on:
Today for #OnlySky, I cover the five bills signed in Florida yesterday (yes, I went through them all: fun fun fun)--& highlight how this is not simply anti-LGBTQ+ legislation, but also an attack on children and democratic society.
Protecting youth matters.
BIG conversations should be had about their care.
These bills are not it. ⬇️

Gosh, there are times when I *really* wish there were simple answers. All I know is that cultural tipping points happen. Republicans and Democrats alike were slow to support marriage equality all through the 90s and 00s, and then a zeitgeist tipped the scales, and many of those same politicians then talked about how supporting LGBTQ+ issues was "self-evidently" correct.
And yet we had HUGE groundswell against Iraq, but the war still went on. So who knows which tactic will work here?
I mentioned 2 of them earlier today, but I'm torn on whether "Direct Action" or Legality is the best way to fix these errors. 🤔
Do the Ends justify the Means? Usually, I say no. Here, I'm not so sure. 🤨🤔
