Ah, so: the whole topic of my Patron-only post. ;)
To summarize the above: I discuss Thucydides' role in histories *of* history (and science); the complex subject-position he held when writing The Peloponnesian War; what his work highlights about the unchanging nature of human beings in war as in politics & personal ego; and how my novel builds on the Siege of Melos to imagine a path out of nationalist traps today.
