Okay, and now it's #BookTube time!
This time around, I chat about another major influence for my upcoming novel, Children of Doro.
Yes, it's part Dostoevsky-in-space. But it's also inspired by Star Trek - at least, in franchise formations appealing to the construction of a better society.
Next up? A longer rec list of #SFF that draws from classic lit, history, & philosophy.
(Trust me, that one's going to be fun!๐)

@LiseL Hoshi and Phlox have my heart tooooo! Good choices for fun, thoughtful episodes in the mix. โค๏ธ ๐ซ
@LiseL Okay, now I know I need to go back and guilty-rewatch a few today. ๐ Thank you!
@MLClark
Now I'm even more excited to read Children of Doro!
Trek talk! There was *so* much in that, but somehow, I feel compelled to ... launch a minor defence of Enterprise! ๐ ๐ ๐
Sure, it's at the rock bottom of my Trek list, but I think Carbon Creek is delightful, and any episode featuring Phlox, esp.The Breach, A Night in Sickbay, and the ethically dubious Dear Doctor, is def worth watching. I also like Hoshi as a translator before the universal translator takes over! ๐
