This headline is just speculation, & I wish The Guardian had been more careful - but I'm sharing it as a reminder of the uncanny world we occupy, where the first thing we read when we wake up is now news like this.

We are a world witnessing a European *war*. Active, immense, & involving the treatment of so many humans as disposable frontline fodder.

This didn't have to be our normal.

Human callousness has wasted *so* much of our fleeting lives.
