Do we have any or lovers on ? It's a hobby of mine and one that I love.

Pictured: a home-made Marseille soap I crafted myself.

@LnzyHou The recipe is a traditional savon de Marseille, so made with only four ingredients (olive oil, salt, lye, water) and hot processed before curing.

@LnzyHou I should add that the water/salt are often combined to make a brine, which is what I did in this case.

@LnzyHou It is, makes an excellent soap and whilst being a connection to a wonderful tradition.

@MHS_Jenkins Yo! I make my own soap.

And other stuff like lipbalm and lotions.

My previous stuff is under

@Fiikus_goddess Awesome, so nice to meet you! I'd love to hear about what you're making and what you have made--especially the lip balm!

@MHS_Jenkins I started my soapmaking due to a need of soap with scrubbing agents, since doing the two steps every day became a hassle.

So far i've done almond and oat powder and my recent favorite ground green coffee.

Also, different kinds of kitchen soaps for smell and dirt removal (dough hands!)

Lipbalms are a recipe in progress, and I'm planning on doing a new batch the coming week, if my spoopyflu lets me.

@Fiikus_goddess The green coffee sounds really interesting to me. I'm planning on doing a (roasted) coffee soap in the near future but I'm super intrigued about my Marseille soap recipe

@Fiikus_goddess I hope the flu passes soon, I know how awful it can be.
