The Hunger opening credits featuring Bauhaus....before vampires were all glittery

@LaMarghe It was so beautifully done. Bowie was amazing, perfectly cast in it. Everyone was. I remember my first time seeing it, I was in awe. I think was 15 or 16 then. I had lived Bauhaus and Bowie for years at that point and it just was everything I had imagined and so much more. I must say, nothing comes close to it in my mind. Every vampire movie since has disappointed me. My daughter was really in to twilight so I had her watch the Hunger and it blew her mind!
@M00dyBlue that's good parenting right there! I agree.
I was 14 at the time and already a huge Bowie fan. All it took for me to be able to watch it was to tell my father that Deneuve was in it. 😏
@LaMarghe lol Deneuve was the reason my dad let me watch it, too! Lol.
@M00dyBlue oh, the memories. That movie was so beautiful. The colour choices, the ambience, the lighting, the soundtrack.
I remember how the aria "Viens Mallika" (Delibes really wrote a little masterpiece), started being incessantly used in pretty much everything after this movie. 😅
