MEMPHIS, Tenn.– A U.S. presidential appointment for a former Memphis City Councilwoman has been put on hold.
Nearly a year after President Biden nominated Patrice Robinson to become a member of the Tennessee Valley Authority or the TVA, there have been no confirmation hearings, and none are scheduled.
“On September 11, 2023, President Biden nominated me to serve on the TVA board. We had hoped that we’d have a vote by the Senate by the end of the year, but that didn’t happen,” said Robinson.
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WREG) — A Memphis man is being charged with making death threats against President Joseph Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and former President Barack Obama, according to the Department of Justice.
Kyl Alton Hall, 37, is charged with two counts of threats to a sitting President and Vice President and one count of a threat to a former President.

Prime Minister of India, Modi, has arrived in Kyiv
I swear, my senior adult parents are slowly losing their minds.
They just had me search my whole house for a bag with hearing aids, ;pills and other things in it, and after I searched the whole house, I looked in the outside trash cans, and there it was.
Crap. Gotta ups this crap to them now. Like I have a lot of extra time coming up.
JD Vance said 'if you don't have kids you have no physical commitment to the future of this country.' When I deployed to Afghanistan, I didn't have kids then. Many of the men and women with me didn't either. But let me tell you, our commitment to the future of this country was pretty damn physical -- Pete Buttigieg - Honor, Courage, Commitment
OK, venting. I feel like I should not have to tell Gary Kasparov, a guy who was a chess champion, things this simple:

I doubt internet bullying will make much difference.
Part of the problem is that Germany just doesn't have a domestic supply chain for much of what is needed most in Ukraine. That's not something you fix in a week, or a month, and probably not even a year.
Part of the reason for neglecting some of our munitions systems was due to our prevailing strategy of maintaining air superiority.
This gap exists across the spectrum of ground based munitions from mortars to Howitzers.
The DoD reviewed supply-chain bottlenecks that might impact other potential conflicts as well and has determined that we have insufficient domestic missile production and in-theater staging should Taiwan require military assistance in a conflict with China.
2023
Supply chain issues persist, construction of US plants to produce DNAN, NTO, NQ, RDX and HMX IHE compounds underway. Slated completion 2025
2024 - We remain at about 30,000 155mm artillery shells per month. The supply chain issues affecting these artillery shells also affect production capacity of other munitions.
We and our allies were not remotely prepared for a prolonged war that made use of artillery systems like our Howitzers.
(2024 contd)
Complicating production, explosive compounds required are not produced domestically, and INM-101 production in the UK is very limited and dependent on other materials from yet other countries.
02/24/2023
The UK (BAE Systems) increases production of IMX-101, Poland increases production of chemicals for IHE. US army increases 155mm shell production to 30,000 per month.

Lessons from the Ukraine War: US Supply-Chain issues.
The problems I will discuss exist across a broad swathe of munitions, but to simplify things, I am going to focus on 155mm artillery shells.
02/24/2022:
The US Army owns the production facilities, but they are run by contractors. Most facilities for 155mm shells have been shutdown, and those operating have not been modernized since the 1960s.
Peak production capacity is 14,000/month.
