Trump will use the military for mass deportations. So the plan is to forge strong bonds between soldiers who must dehumanize Americans of all ages and forcibly remove them from their lives. Trump figures this will make it easier when he turns them against citizens later, like protesters and dissidents. This will be so expensive it is ridiculous. He says a lot of crazy stuff. But he's going to run into a couple of problems with that idea. The military will do everything in their power to avoid it, and The Posse Comitatus Act of 1878.

@Lulz4l1f3 hope you're right. I just know as soon as he takes office nobody is going to be able to keep up with the news cycles. The Assault on America will be multi-pronged and non-stop. He plans on using a shock and awe strategy across many different departments. That much is completely clear
I think we can count on there not being any effective guardrails among most Republicans in Congress.
But there are an array of other forces that make up the nation: economic sectors and institutions, courts and other legal institutions, medical institutions, etc and ultimately the threat of political blowback.
That's what we're hoping holds back the worst impulses within that administration.
