If you must have a firearm for home protection, I would suggest a shotgun.
It would be hard to miss your target, and you won't accidentally kill your neighbors.

She’s just one example, I’m surrounded by crazed gun nuts. Having guns is okay, but 48 hidden so one is always in reach? I wonder if she is a ex spy or something 😂
Our neighbors are so fearful of everything, they just are always so unhappy.
I can't imagine somebody experienced in tradecraft telling you how many weapons they have in their house.
