Bluguitar Iridium edition, thoughts?

@Lulz4l1f3 Overrated and over priced.

(Oh, WTF do I know. I'm a lefty who can barely justify a D45. And you have no idea how rare those are.)

@SSNBubblehead You are gonna hate Amp X, then. It's gonna be 1999.

On the one hand, Amp 1 Iridium has 100 watts, nanotube and all analog audio path (so long as reverb is not engaged).

On the other hand, all the controls are midi-controllable which means I can program all the amp settings from my HX effects either as patches or snapshots within patches.

I'm more worried about how good the tone is (it's great in the videos, but?) and more importantly how reliable it is because 900 bucks.

@Lulz4l1f3

never played through a pedalboard amp. this looks like it would be a great touring kit once you found the best cabinet match. in that range, i'm be looking for less power, more tone options..this is a Mesa combo in the area that i'm pondering

@northernbassist Which Mesa is that, I said knowing no matter which one it is you're looking at some serious cash :)

What's attractive to me about a pedalboard amp is the possible mobility of the setup.

I could pretty much be done with a speaker cab and a pedalboard with my HX Effects, a couple of expression pedals and this thing if it has the umpf and it reliable

@Lulz4l1f3

it's a Studio Caliber DC2....mid-late 90s model. Seems to go for between $600 - $800 on the used market.

@northernbassist Costs more than 300 bucks to re-tube that thing :)

@northernbassist

looks like Santa put one under your tree... you must have been a very good boy!
