Wishful thinking of Spring - Making origami plant starter pots from advert news papers they keep stuffing in my mail box. Another Victory Garden of sorts this year since last year did so well at combating greedflation, even had lots of extra that I put out in a basket for neighbors. Surprise bonus was the children who only knew grocery store veggies, questions and wanting to grow too. So this year its victory over greedflation and some neighborhood education. Not bad for a handful of seeds.

Tomorrow is Hot Buttered Rum day. One of my favorite cold weather treats.

So put the Kettle on to boil and here's how I make mine:

2 Heaping Tbs Dark Brown Sugar
1/2 tsp freshly grated nutmeg
1/4 tsp or pinch of ground cloves
Pinch of cinnamon or use a cinnamon stick as a stir
Add 2 Shots of Spiced Rum (that is NOT Bacardi, Myers Jamaican isn't bad)
Stir it together and fill the rest of the cup with boiling water.
Top with a pat of butter garnish with cinnamon stick optional.

Lot's of posts about #VoteBlue to save us from Doe174. If we can vote in large enough numbers we can empower Government to get things done. This means control in 3 chambers. With enough of a resounding defeat in 2024 across the board some sane Republicans may also wake up a little.
