We had one. Was especially nice when milkman left a chocolate one.
@Lucky188 ours was on the back porch. i used to put toads in it
@Lucky188 Six kids in our family, don’t know how my mom would have kept my voracious older brothers supplied with enough milk otherwise
@Lucky188 My dad, as a teenager during the Great Depression, was able to get a job as a milk delivery man. He was grateful to be able to contribute to the family budget during difficult times. Later, he had milk & eggs delivered to the house into one of those boxes for the rest of his life.
@Lucky188 still have one as a storage box in the garage lol
